A teen who was on the Texas 10 Most Wanted Fugitives List has been arrested after being accused of murdering a San Antonio Sonic manager because he refused to let her pay for meals with fake money.

Fox4 News reports that the 17-year-old fugitive, Adiah Roberson, was tracked down at an apartment complex in Pleasant Grove as part of a multi-agency investigation.

Following her alleged murder, Roberson spent over three months on the run before detectives discovered she was holed up at the corner of Pleasant Drive and CF Hawn Freeway.

Roberson allegedly shot and killed 33-year-old Daniel Shrewsbury on July 7 after an altercation broke out when Roberson and two other people were declined food for using counterfeit money, according to San Antonio police. She is also accused of stealing cash from a Sonic employee.

Joshua Joseph, who was with Roberson, “became upset and threaten(ed) to assault Daniel and warned him he was going to get shot” when Daniel Shrewsbury walked outside to take a picture of the suspect’s license plate, according to Crime Stoppers.

At that point, according to the authorities, Roberson got out of the car brandishing a gun, and started shooting at Shrewsbury, who passed away instantly.

Joseph was captured in August and charged with murder. Joseph told the FOX affiliate in San Antonio as he was taken to jail at the time, “None of it should’ve happened the way it happened. I don’t wish death on nobody.”

A reward of $5,000 was then put out for any information that would result in Roberson’s apprehension. According to U.S. Marshals, investigators were able to locate the Dallas apartment complex after receiving a tip.

Investigators suspect Roberson traveled from San Antonio to Austin, then to Dallas, though it is still undetermined how long she has been in Dallas.

She was placed in the Dallas County jail on murder and forgery charges after being apprehended in the apartment parking lot by the United States Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force last Tuesday.

It was reported that she was awaiting her transfer to San Antonio, with a $520,000 bond.
