Chris Brown took to social media on Tuesday to seemingly respond to his former collaborator Kevin McCall’s claims that he owed him $25,000 after Young Thug offered to pay up the singer’s alleged debt.
As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, McCall, 40, recently made the news after he broke down crying while he was talking about his financial woes on the Back On Figg podcast. The musician also claimed that he was now on food stamps and even showed his EBT card, TMZ reported.
McCall further claimed that Brown owed him $25,000 for four songs. And though McCall claims that his finances have taken a nosedive, that isn’t the same for Brown, as he reportedly grossed over $200 million from his Breezy Bowl XX tour. The Go Crazy singer also has another thing to smile about, as Breezy Bowl XX is now his most successful tour.
But it appears that Brown, 36, is still not ready to return to good terms with McCall, despite Young Thug’s supposed attempt to step in. Brown, on Tuesday, took to his Instagram Story to seemingly reiterate that he wasn’t open to any form of reconciliation.

“Remember this: you can’t walk across a burnt bridge. And you know what’s funnier than a troll? A BROKE ONE [sly grin emoji],” Brown wrote, per The Shade Room.
Brown’s response to McCall’s claims came after Young Thug said he was willing to pay McCall the $25,000 debt that the singer allegedly owed him. Young Thug, on Tuesday, took to X to reach out to McCall after he seemingly became aware of his emotional outburst on the podcast.
Young Thug, in his post, also stated that he was sure Brown was going to pay McCall, and the hold up was because of the singer’s busy schedule.
“Kevin McCall hit me my n*gga, I’ll give u the 25k u need, and i no CB would give it to u also bro he a real one,” Young Thug wrote. “N*ggas is busy sometimes brada.”
McCall and Brown haven’t been on good terms for several years, and it’s unclear if the latter will settle the alleged debt. Some social media users also cast their doubts on Brown paying up, as they made reference to a previous video of the Deuces singer seemingly making fun of McCall and showing luxury cars that he said he bought with the 40-year-old’s money.
