Ellen Johnson Sirleaf (President of Liberia)

Ellen Eugenia Johnson Sirleaf served as the 24th President of Liberia from 2006 to 2008, making her the first female President in Liberia and the first-ever female Head of State in Africa. One of her notable achievements while in office was signing into law, the Freedom of Information Bill in October 2010, making it the first of such legislation in West Africa.
