Tanya Stephens

In 1998, The Washington Post described Tanya Stephens, along with Lady Saw, as the two top female artistes in Jamaica. Stephens was every bit of that and more.

When it was not even in fashion, Stephens was using her songs to criticise bigotry and homophobia. Her 1998 album Ruff Rider is one to check out.
