13-year-old among group that attacked a Houston man after he refused to give them a cigarette

The Robbery Division of the Houston Police Department has requested assistance in identifying a group of individuals who were involved in a robbery that resulted in physical harm.

One of the suspects, a 13-year-old, returned to the site while the victim was making a police report, authorities said. The teen was taken into custody and charged with robbery with bodily injury.

According to the police, the victim was making purchases at a convenience shop located in Houston’s 7400 block of Cullen, KWTX reported.

According to the victim’s account, a group of young males approached him and requested a cigarette. When the victim refused to offer them one, the men reportedly moved outside into the parking lot.

Authorities said that while the victim was exiting the business, the group attacked him, taking his wallet, punching him in the face several times, and then running away on foot.

Concerning the remaining three, who are not yet known to the public, the police have identified the first suspect as a Black guy with a black shirt and multicolored pants; the second suspect is a Black man with a black shirt and gray shorts; and the third suspect is a Black man with a black sweatshirt and blue shorts.
