Jeremy Pope was nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for The Inspection. Some argue that Tom Cruise’s absence from that category opened doors for Pope, who stars as a gay Black Marine in The Inspection. His performance in the film might however get him nominated for best actor at the Oscars.
