3 self-acclaimed feminists who changed for love

Gabrielle Union

Gabrielle Union has always displayed tough characters on screen.

Being a survivor of a sexual assault also prompted her to speak out against the misogyny and use of hyper-masculinity prevalent in Hollywood and beyond.

Union even discussed her previous “mean girl” ways towards other black actresses as a lesson on character development.

Before her marriage to baller Dwayne Wade, the couple split for a brief time. During their break, Wade fathered a child with a long-time friend.

It was no sweat off her back as Wade and Union married in 2014.  The couple frequently displays their seemingly happy married life via images on social media.

Love and feminism can co-exist – you just have to gear your ideals according to your terms.
