Angela Rye…The August Wilson Center

Angela Rye

Angela Rye’s experience as a political commentator for CNN and NPR has given her a breadth of knowledge of the American justice system as well as the negative aspects that plague it.

In recent days, Rye has been a staunch supporter of leading people of color to the voting polls citing the dire importance of changing the American political climate.

She is also an attorney and has knowledge of the deficiencies of the American justice system – a double win.

Rye has shown her commitment to supporting politics by founding the IMPACT Strategies a political advocacy firm in Washington, D.C.

Rye has served in the district office of Congresswoman Maxine Waters (D-CA) and as the executive director and general counsel to the Congressional Black Caucus for the 112th Congress.

She is currently running for the boards of the Congressional Black Caucus Institute, Congressional Black Caucus Political Action Committee, Seattle University School of Law Alumni and Women in Entertainment Empowerment Network.
