Nameless
Nameless, born David Mathenge is a Kenyan pop singer.
Nameless entered the entertainment scene in 1999 after winning a contest held by Kenya’s urban radio station 98.4 Capital FM, all the while enrolled at the University of Nairobi pursuing architecture.
He went on to release several hits which earned him the title of one of Kenya’s modern music pioneers.
While studying, Nameless was also employed at a bank doing data entry, according to Daily Nation.
When asked what led to him pursuing music he replied, “I thought to myself “Why can’t I concentrate on doing music? I could see the returns were rewarding. I ended up deciding to stick to music and joined Ogopa Deejays. It didn’t take me long before I could release my first album, “On Fire,” in 2003.”
