5 badass African journalists who are changing the world

Khadija Sharife

Sharife was born in 1986 in South Africa.  Apart from being a journalist, she’s also a writer who has penned articles for Forbes, The Economist, Al Jazeera, and London Review of Books to name a few publications.

Sharife has also been a correspondent for The Africa Report magazine, an assistant editor of Capitalism, Nature, Socialism, and co-author of Tax us if you can (Africa). She’s been a visiting scholar for the Center for Civil Society (CCS) in 2011, a fellow at the World Policy Institute, and organized the African branch of the European Union-backed Environmental Trade and Liabilities Project.

Sharife is currently employed with the Africa desk of Investigative Dashboard and the African Network of Centers for Investigative Reporting (ANCIR).
