Zapiro is a South African cartoonist known for the infamous portrayal of former South African president Jacob Zuma, who sued him in 2008.

He has also accused of perpetuating rape culture with a number of cartoons, including the one depicted below:

Through his work, he has been seen as one of Africa’s cartoonists who are not afraid to step up against politicians.
