The Jack Fruit

The Jack Fruit grown in Uganda is melon-sized; that is, it is relatively huge and considered the largest tree fruit in the world. Like the African Horned Cucumber, it has a spiky exterior that most probably shields its fleshy, juicy interior. Some vegans and vegetarians use Jack Fruit as a substitute for meat in their diet due to its texture and nutritional benefits. It is also reported to contain high amounts of protein. It is also a good source of vitamin C and riboflavin.
