Lake Tanganyika is an African Great Lake. It is the second oldest freshwater lake in the world, the second deepest and second largest by volume.
Lake Tanganyika is divided among Zambia, Burundi, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Additionally, Lake Tanganyika includes several islands to include Kavala Island and Kumbula Island.
