Africa has the most languages: Africa lays claim to over 25% of the world’s languages throughout history, of which only about 2000 spoken languages are still recognized. Till date languages such as Arabic, Somali, Berber, Amharic, Oromo, Swahili, Hausa, Manding, Igbo, Fulani and Yoruba have been classified as the major branches of Africa’s language diversity.
