Jacky Ido

The Burkinabe-born French actor is well-known, particularly among English-language audiences, for his role as Marcel, the film projectionist in Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 film, Inglourious Basterds. This was after his first role as Lemalian in the 2005 German film, White Masai. Born on May 14, 1977, Ido works and lives in Paris, France and has even worked with his brother, Cedric Ido, who directed him in the short Hasaki Ya Suda. In 2014, Ido starred as Leo Romba in the French-American television series, Taxi Brooklyn. He further starred in U.S. TV series, including Shonda Rhimes-produced crime drama The Catch. Last September, it was announced that he will star in refugee comedy L’Indesiderato (The Unwanted), a new feature from Italian Enrico Lando.
