Joe Tacopina, the lawyer representing A$AP Rocky, remains optimistic about securing his client’s freedom.
During an appearance on ‘TMZ Live‘ Monday, Tacopina expressed confidence that the jury should have little difficulty delivering a not-guilty verdict, though he acknowledged that nothing is guaranteed in court.
A seasoned lawyer with a high-profile track record, Tacopina has successfully defended notable clients, including former President Donald Trump and Alex Rodriguez. He has been relentless in his defense of Rocky, portraying the case as a blatant attempt at extortion.

According to Tacopina, Rocky was engaged in a dispute with a former friend and allegedly used a prop gun—rather than a real weapon—during the incident.
Known for his aggressive cross-examination tactics, Tacopina claims to have exposed inconsistencies in the testimony of A$AP Relli, the key witness against Rocky.
He likened his defense strategy to protecting family, emphasizing his commitment to clearing his client’s name.
The trial has had its share of tense moments, including an unexpected courtroom outburst from Rocky. At one point, the rapper called out to fellow A$AP Mob member A$AP Twelvyy, instructing him not to reveal the meaning of AWGE during testimony.

Tacopina later joked that he had to stomp on Rocky’s foot under the table to keep him from speaking out at a more critical moment.
With Rocky’s career and future on the line, the upcoming verdict will determine whether he walks free or faces years behind bars. While the outcome remains uncertain, Tacopina exudes confidence in his defense, relying on both his legal expertise and a history of courtroom victories.
Through it all, Rihanna, Rocky’s partner, has been a steadfast presence in court, offering her support as he fights for his freedom.
