African countries are fighting each other over these vital natural resources

River Nile

Egypt, Sudan and Ethiopia are in dispute over the longest river in Africa.  Sudan and Ethiopia are concerned that the new dam constructed by Ethiopia will put the livelihood of people depending on the river at risk.

The water rights of the Nile sit with Egypt due to a colonial treaty, despite that the river passes through 11 other countries and its source is in East Africa.
