African countries are fighting each other over these vital natural resources

Lake Malawi

Tanzania and Malawi are currently in a dispute over Lake Malawi. The bone of contention is what percentage each country gets.

The dispute has been simmering over the years, with Malawi pegging their argument on an 1890 Anglo-German treaty and Tanzania using tradition within the International law.

The two countries have now reached out to the International Court of Justice to handle the dispute.
