Despite his death in January 2012, Mounir Fourar remains Algeria’s tallest man with a height of 7 feet 3 inches. Just as most of the world’s tallest men, Fourar is reported to have suffered from acromegaly gigantism at the tender age of 12, a development which saw him undergo five operations at a hospital in Algiers just so he could stop his unusual growth.
