Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is a former American actress, humanitarian and philanthropist with an estimated net worth of $60 million, combined with her husband’s fortune. Before marrying the Duke of Sussex Prince Charles, Celebrity Net Worth estimates that Markle had a net worth of $5 million compared to her husband’s $20 million.

Markle grew up in Hollywood. Her father worked in the TV industry and won several Emmy awards. Her acting career started right after she graduated from Horthwestern University in 2003.

After several minor roles, her breakthrough came when she starred in the critically acclaimed TV series “Suits”. At her peak, she reportedly made $50,000 per episode and the show’s total projected earnings for her was $4 million before taxes.

After her marriage to Prince Harry, the couple relocated to the United States after taking a break from royal duties. They were subsequently asked by the late Queen Elizabeth II to relinquish their “Royal Highness” titles.

Shortly after moving to the US, Markle became a startup investor by investing in a small business owned by a woman, in line with her advocacy for gender empowerment. The startup, called Clevr Blends, makes instant oat-milk lattes and it is located in Montecito, California.

Alongside her husband, Markle purchased a $14.7 million estate in Montecito, California, in 2020 and spent a whopping $3 million in renovating their U.K. home in Frogmore.

Also, the couple has signed a five-year production deal with Netflix and a three-year podcast deal with Spotify valued at $100 million and $18 million respectively.

Markle was born in Los Angeles, California, on August 4, 1981, to Doria Ragland and Thomas Markle Sr. Her parents divorced when she was six years old, and she is their only child together. Markle is of mixed race. Her mother is African American and her father is White.

She attended Hollywood Little Red Schoolhouse and Immaculate Heart High School and continued her education at Northwestern University, where she graduated with double degrees in theatre and international studies in 2003.

In addition to her flourishing acting career, she also founded The Tig, a lifestyle website and blog, in 2014. Her content focused primarily on topics like food, fashion, beauty and travel. According to Celebrity Net worth, most of her blog fans were fans of the show “Suits.” She shut down the blog after three years of running it.

In 2015 and 2016, she also released two fashion collections with Canadian clothing company Reitmans.
