Adoring fans began arriving early last weekend to the Atlanta Premiere of “Somewhere In Africa”. The atmosphere was electric as the crowd waited in anticipation for their star to arrive. It was quite a sight, a lobby reflecting the jungle of Africa, 18×10 feet wall banners, 100 feet red carpet, dead body props on the floors to honor innocent victims of war, a concession stand with spicy Suya and wings, it was truly a quintessential Erawoc brother’s experience.
“We did it big in Hollywood, but we decided to raise the bar in Atlanta the new Mecca of the film industry and to set the standard for our own industry as well". ~ Reggie Erawoc. {left in image}
Africa leading man Majid Michel, arrived in a black limousine and met the applause of an adoring crowd on the red carpet, shook hands, and occasionally signed autographs. The charismatic crowd confided in the media the real reason to see “Somewhere In Africa” was not only the opportunity to meet and greet Majid, but they’ve heard so much about his larger than life performance in the movie.
Majid’s humble personality was able to charm the people and the media, all night long. A fan was quoted saying “It’s hard to take your eyes off him on screen and off screen, his great performance is enough reason to be here all night” The premiere was a major success with a full house, an after party and an African dance with army costumes and a song from the original movie soundtrack. Majid was also awarded and crowned for his role in the advancement of African Films.
It was a breath taking presentation produced by Reggie and Sputnic Erawoc of ZEBRACHILD ENTERTAINMENT/ERAWOC BROS GROUP, Clarice Kulah, Lydia Worjlor of Divine Entertainment, and Phillip Dowetin of The Calabash.
"We have indeed set the bar high for others to follow but will definitely keep the bar higher if any film producer/director or distributor is interested in such services.” ~ Sputnic
