Denzel and Pauletta Washington
The two have shown that you can stay married and famous. With 36 years and counting, this has been one of Hollywood’s longest-lasting relationships and the most successful marriage in the black community.
The duo met in 1977 while the actor was on set filming his first TV role in Wilma – which his Pauletta was also starring in. They have been inseparable since.
Complimenting his better half in an interview with TD Jakes, Denzel said: “She has done the heavy lifting. She has been the consistent one. She has given the daily religious instruction. She was the one taking them to school, while I was out providing.”
