Cardi B has refuted allegations that she is trying to sell one of her homes due to a “secret” financial crisis. The 31-year-old rapper addressed the rumors on Monday after Icy Scoop News claimed in a now-deleted post that she was “facing foreclosure” and struggling to make payments on her Atlanta mansion.

“LMAOOO You bum btches wish… me and offset bought that house in 2019 for 5 million now it’s worth 7, check the Atlanta market,” Cardi B wrote, referencing her rapper husband.

She added: “And no, we not selling it… and if I ever sold it I would just sell my part to Offset since he loves Atlanta. Throwing salt on my home? Hating bad.”

Icy Scoop News’ original tweet read: “Cardi B’s secret struggle: She’s allegedly trying to sell one of her homes but is deeply upside down on it. Facing foreclosure, the pressure is mounting as she fights to make the payments. The stakes have never been higher.”

Cardi B and Offset purchased a $5.8 million mansion in Sandy Springs, a suburb of Atlanta, in December 2019, as reported by Daily Mail. The 22,000-square-foot home features five bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and four half-baths, and is situated on 5.84 wooded acres.

Cardi B’s recent denial of financial troubles follows her discussion of her rumored $80 million net worth with Complex in March.

“I feel like I actually passed almost doing $80 million,” she admitted. “I make a lot of money. I make a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of money.”

In August, Cardi B and Offset’s Atlanta home was the target of a swatting hoax. Police bodycam footage captured the dramatic incident on August 10, 2023, when officers responded to reports of a shooting at their residence.

The caller had claimed shots were fired and suggested that Cardi B herself might have been struck. Officers arrived with sirens blaring and weapons ready, but quickly determined that the alarming report was a hoax.

Cardi B and Offset’s Atlanta home, purchased after two years of house hunting, was delayed due to their differing tastes.

“Houses that [Offset] liked there was always a room I didn’t like that we couldn’t agreed on. And a couple houses that I liked [Offset] said NO because the areas they [were] in are not [too] good,” she explained via Instagram Story in 2019.
