Temitope Ogunsemo, Nigeria
The 33-year-old developed the idea to set up Krystal Digital in 2010 after a difficult experience he had when he tried to secure his academic transcript. Right from there, he realized that he could develop a school information management system that would improve the storage and retrieval of academic records and would also enable schools to enjoy the benefits of digitisation.
The company’s flagship service MySkool Portal, a web-based application for School Information Management System designed for proper storage and documentation of school data, runs in 50 federal government colleges in Nigeria and has more than 65,000 active student users. With annual revenue of over US$3m and more than 150 employees, Krystal Digital’s goal is to drive growth in the education sector by building a leading sub-Saharan IT company.
