With rapper and activist Common and political analyst Angela Rye calling time on their romance last year, various media reports suggest he is seeing actress Tiffany Haddish although the pair are yet to publicly and officially acknowledge that they are going out.
The media took notice when Common was spotted at Tiffany Haddish’s 40th birthday bash in December 2019. It didn’t help that the two were photographed together on several other occasions after her party in addition to Haddish sharing photos with Common to her Instagram account.
When the NBA All-Star weekend was staged in Common’s hometown of Chicago, he served as a judge during the dunk contest while he also gave a tribute to the city and Kobe Bryant. Guess who was in session for both events, yep Ms. Haddish. Fans also took notice as the two were spotted sitting courtside.

Then there was the meet with icon Harry Belafonte. The two were also spotted attending an ‘Uncle Drew’ premiere party in NYC. Afterwards, the two were filmed leaving a New York City party together using the same black SUV.
Haddish attended Common’s Toast to The Arts Party in Los Angeles last year as well.
Over the weekend, Cedric The Entertainer joined DJ Kid Capri for a Healing Through Laughter event with Def Comedy Jam which was a COVID-19 relief fundraiser that featured some surprise guests.
During their digital chat, Haddish revealed she wasn’t alone in the house. She was joined by you guessed right, Common who appeared comfortable in the house and once he got off the live, Tiffany popped back on camera, winking and sticking her tongue out to anyone’s guess.
Cedric couldn’t help but say, “Tiff, that’s an exclusive.”
It does appear in this corona season, the pair are isolating together but not so sure about their social distancing credential.
Haddish had earlier stated they were just friends but it does appear Common might have earned a promotion to a lover status.
It will be interesting to see if Common, 48, will fully commit to Haddish given Angela Rye wanted to have a family and he was not keen on that leading to the split. Perhaps Haddish, 40, does not want children which will sit perfectly well with Common although he has a daughter, Omoye Assata Lynn.
