We may be mourning the unfortunate death of George Floyd, but his 6-year-old daughter is giving us something to smile about and letting the whole world know she’s so proud of her dad.

In a video that was shared on social media, Gianna Floyd is seen being carried on the shoulders of former NBA player and George’s childhood friend, Stephen Jackson, while she gleefully smiles with her arms spread saying: “Daddy changed the world.”

Someone off-camera is heard asking, “He did what?,” to which she responds and says: “Daddy changed the world.”

The video, which went viral, was taken either before or after a press conference that was held at the Minneapolis City Hall on Tuesday, with Gianna’s mother, Roxie Washington, speaking.

“I wanted everybody to know that this is what those officers took from me,” Washington tearfully said, with Gianna by her side. “At the end of the day, they get to go home and be with their families. Gianna does not have a father.”

“He will never see her grow up, graduate, he will never walk her down the aisle. If there’s a problem that she’s having and she needs her dad, she does not have that anymore,” she continued.

“I’m here for my baby and I’m here for George because I want justice for him. I want justice for him because he was good. No matter what anybody thinks, he was good.”

Jackson, who also spoke at the press conference, promised to be a father figure in Gianna’s life.

“I’m going to walk her down the aisle,” Jackson said. “I’m going to be there for her. I’m going to be there to wipe your tears.”
