The sex trafficking trial of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs began on Monday, May 12, with a disturbing testimony from the prosecution’s first witness, a 41-year-old male escort named Daniel Philip.
Philip told the court that he became involved with Diddy and singer Cassie in 2012 and had sexual encounters with them for about a year.

He said most of the sessions involved him having sex with Cassie while Diddy watched, gave instructions, and sometimes took part. He claimed he was paid thousands of dollars for each session, which could last from one hour to ten hours.
Philip described one encounter where Cassie asked him to urinate in her mouth. He said the situation left him uncomfortable but he felt pressured to go along with it.
He also claimed that Diddy took a photo of his driver’s license, which he believed was a way to threaten him and make sure he stayed silent.

According to Philip, he was once given MDMA by Diddy, which made him sick and caused him to give away all his money in Times Square.
Philip went on to say he once saw Diddy physically attack Cassie. He said Diddy threw a bottle at her, pulled her by the hair, and dragged her into another room. He claimed he then heard what sounded like slaps.
When asked why he didn’t step in, Philip said he was scared. He believed Diddy had a lot of power and feared that trying to stop him might lead to something worse, including losing his own life.
“I was shocked. It came out of nowhere. I was terrified. I didn’t know what to do. In my mind, if I tried to do something I might lose my life,” he clamed
Philip said the emotional toll of these events affected his ability to perform sexually, which meant he sometimes did not get paid.
