Discover amazing details of Wyclef Jean’s own electric supercar: ‘My parents always told me to dream big’

As a son of immigrants, Haitian-American singer Wyclef Jean was taught to dream big. This would influence his music career and other philanthropic gestures to support others to grow.

For instance, in 2020, he and his Carnival World Music Group raised $25 million in capital funding to assist artists in developing countries that are in dire need of publishing and distribution support.

As a member of the legendary hip-hop trio The Fugees, he earned accolades as a producer, actor, singer, and humanitarian in Haiti. His music has always been influenced by his Haitian and African roots.

Making electric supercars is now the latest endeavor of the 53-year-old. He recently unveiled an electric lightweight supercar that will be priced at $350,000, according to Vibe.

Newsweek reports that Jean premiered the vehicle titled Attucks Apex AP0 on March 5, 2023, at the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island Country and Golf Course in Florida. Ahead of the premier, Jean posted on his Instagram page about his latest venture:

“As the Son of immigrants my parents always told me to dream big !!!!,” he wrote. “So I combined my two passions and experiences with cars and music and created my dream vision! I’m launching my electric supercar tomorrow at @ameliaconcoursofficial with @apexmotors.global @attucksfuture @supercarrooms stay tuned for the US debut of Attucks Apex AP0 See you at Amelia Island!”

Although few details have been given about the new vehicle, a press statement notes that the vehicle has an “enhanced music and sound experience, analyzing the driver and playing songs that best fit the mood for the optimal driving experience.”

It weighs around 2,600 pounds — a little more than a Mazda MX-5 Miata. Powered by a 650 horsepower electric motor that the company says it can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.3 seconds, the vehicle also comes with a 1,200-pound 90-kilowatt-hour battery, which will be okay for 300 miles of range.

The Haitian-American rapper created the vehicle with his partner Elo, owner of Supercar Room Miami. They joined forces with Apex Motors to produce the Attucks Apex AP0. Jean and his partners hope to headquarter the business in Little Haiti, Miami, according to Newsweek.

Jean has been a well-known car collector, with luxury cars like the Spider-Man custom motorcycle, built by Orange County Choppers. He is also one of the first Americans to import a McLaren F1 and Pagani Zonda to the U.S.

According to Newsweek, the Attuck Apex AP0 will be released in the winter of 2024. What is more, the musician plans to use the Attucks Apex AP0 to give back to the Haitian-American community.

In Little Haiti, South Flordia, where he plans to have a shop, he will train those who would like to work in tech, particularly inventions, technological solutions, sustainability, creativity, design, coding, and Web3, Vibe reported.
