Disney Channel star Skai Jackson was arrested at Universal CityWalk last week following an alleged physical altercation with her boyfriend. Per TMZ, Jackson, 22, was arrested for domestic violence.

Sources told the news outlet that deputies responded to the scene after security saw the couple fighting, and Jackson is said to have repeatedly pushed her boyfriend. Sources also said the Jessie star and her boyfriend were ultimately detained by security while they waited for law enforcement to respond.

Sources added that the couple claimed they did not get into any physical altercation, with Jackson also saying they were happily engaged and expecting a child, TMZ reported.

But deputies said they noticed Jackson had pushed her boyfriend when they took a look at a video. Authorities arrested Jackson for misdemeanor domestic battery and issued her a citation before she was released. She was reportedly detained for hours.

“Based on the initial investigation, it was determined Ms Jackson was the primary aggressor and was arrested for misdemeanour spousal battery,” police said, per Sky News.

The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office will reportedly look into the case to establish if it’s necessary to bring any charges. Jackson has kept her relationship from the public eye, and there’s sparse information about her beau.
