Douglas County High School senior Mantavius Presley has made big strides in his education.
According to Atlanta News First, the Douglas County School System reported that the teen from metro Atlanta has received more than $1 million in scholarships and has been accepted into 58 colleges.
According to the school system, some of the colleges were Morehouse College, Howard University, Mercer University, Xavier University of Louisiana, and the University of Alabama.
Presley, popularly known as “Lebron,” oversees Douglas County’s cheerleading teams.
Aside from his academic successes, Presley is an active member of his school community.
He serves as president of the school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and the National Honor Society chapters, and is also vice president of the Student Government Association and the senior class. He is also involved in seven other school organizations, helps out with the yearbook crew, and oversees the JV and varsity cheer squads.
According to the district, Presley has completed more than 1,100 hours of community service.
The school system said Presley is carefully considering his options for the future as graduation draws near before making his final decision.
