DSTV To Launch New TV Show “Fashion Coast” Hosted by Rachel Williams & Doris Asomaning

The highly anticipated Ghana edition of “Fashion Coast” is a half hour television show that will explore “…the direction of Africa's burgeoning Fashion Industry by profiling the young talent that is defining the future of African Fashion." The show is the brainchild of Anita Erskine for Brand Woman Africa.

The show’s hosts include International Model Rachael Williams and Ghanaian co-host Doris Asomaning who will interview 13 stylists and 13 Fashion Designers from Ghana all under the age of 35. Each guest is part of creating Africa’s latest fashion trends and into the future. They are the real tastemakers of their generation making a great impact in the world of fashion.

The first segment of each episode “…will feature a Guest Stylist who will explain his or her strategy and discuss the business of styling from their perspective.” While the second segment will “…profile a Guest Designer who describes the passion and business of fashion design and what sets them apart in this burgeoning industry of Fashion in West Africa.” And the last segment will be a short fashion show of the Guest Designer’s collection.

We can’t wait to see the show and all the talent that will have an opportunity to showcase their work to a broader audience! Until then check out some of the behind the scenes footage on the Facebook Fan Page.
