Known for her breathtaking voice and hit songs, Houston enjoyed a very successful career spanning several decades, selling over 200 million records, including albums, singles, and videos worldwide.
With seven albums to her name, Houston broke several records and, undoubtedly, was an inspiration to up and coming female and colored musicians during her prime.

Despite her fame, however, she was condemned to many personal demons which include the use of drugs and other illicit substances. Her last known image was of her leaving a club two days before she died. She passed on on February 11th, 2012.
