American singer Erykah Badu has revealed plans to produce and sell incense made from her used underwear.
The incense, according to her, will be based on some scent from her private organ.
Badu, who is a four-time Grammy award-winning artiste said that the products will be released, Feb. 20, in her upcoming online marketplace, Badu World Market.
Called the “Badu’s P”, the unconventional product will, according to 10 Magazine smell as advertised by its name. The 48-year-old describes the scent as her “superpower”.
“There’s an urban legend that my p— changes men,” she said. “The men that I fall in love with, and fall in love with me, change jobs and lives.”
Badu who began at age 14 is known for her singles, “On & On”, “Next Lifetime” and “Otherside of the Game”.
She further explained the process behind making the incense to the British publication: “I took lots of pairs of my panties, cut them up into little pieces and burned them.”
She added: “Even the ash is part of it.”
When the interviewer asked Badu — who the magazine noted had “stopped wearing anything down there a while back” — if she felt a personal connection to the undertaking, she replied, “Yeah, man!”
She added, “The people deserve it!”
Badu becomes the second celebrity to market a scent inspired by her private region. The first, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, sold out of a candle named “This Smells Like My Vagina” in her Goop shop in December, reports People.
