Prehistoric engravings near Ait Ouaziz
There are prehistoric rock carvings in the middle of the Sahara Desert that show the lives of early man hunting, battle motifs various animals. The most featured animals on the rocks are antelopes, elephants, giraffes, and rhinos. Out of the over 300 rock art sites in Morocco, which are mostly in the High Atlas Mountains and across the Sahara Desert, the rock carvings near Ait Ouaziz is the most accessible by car.
