An Oscar-winning basketball legend

You don’t find many people winning in sports and film except you are looking for Kobe Bryant. The late icon held a special reputation as an Oscar-winning basketball legend.

Bryant loved storytelling. The time after he left the basketball court was going to be used to pursue his passion for the art of storytelling, founding the Granity Studios in the process.

In 2018, after winning the Oscar for the animated Dear Basketball that he wrote and produced, Bryant said, “I feel better than winning the championship, to be honest with you. I swear I do.”

“To be here right now and to have like … a sense of validation is … this is crazy, man.”
