Fashion took an unexpected turn on a Southwest flight to Phoenix when a passenger turned the aisle into her personal runway—without clothes. The plane was forced to return to the gate after the unruly traveler stripped naked and began screaming before takeoff.

“It came as a complete surprise to everyone,” one female eyewitness, who opted to remain anonymous, told 12 News of the “shocking” display.

As the Southwest flight prepared for takeoff from Houston’s Hobby Airport, the woman walked to the front of the plane and demanded to be let off. At the time, she was still fully clothed.

“She started, like, jumping up and down, screaming at the top of her lungs,” the witness said.

As the plane continued taxiing, the passenger reacted by stripping off all her clothes, from her hat to her shoes, according to ABC10.

Footage captured her walking naked up and down the aisle, shocking fellow travelers, including young children.

“It was very evident that she was having a mental breakdown,” recalled the witness.

The passenger also banged on the cockpit door demanding entry before making unwanted contact with a flight attendant, 12 News reported.

As stunned passengers tried to remain calm, one admitted, “I was just hoping the plane didn’t take off.” The impromptu strip show ended when the aircraft returned to the gate.

An airline worker attempted to cover the woman with a blanket, but she made a dramatic dash off the plane.

The airborne exhibitionist’s runway moment ended with her being detained and taken to the hospital for evaluation, Houston police confirmed.

Despite her shocking mid-flight strip show, no charges were filed. Meanwhile, passengers faced a one-hour delay before the plane finally took off for Phoenix.

Southwest Airlines reps have since addressed the incident.

“We’ve reached out to Customers to apologize for the delay and appreciate their patience as our Teams worked to get them to their destinations as quickly as possible,” they said.
