Sarian Kamara

After undergoing FGM as a child in Sierra Leone, Sarian Kamara found the courage to talk about her traumatic experiences. She is now educating communities on the need to end the act.

The British anti-FGM activist started ‘Keep the Drums, Lose the Knife’ in 2017 to coordinate efforts to address FGM amongst the Sierra Leone community in the UK and abroad.

She holds educational workshops and support groups for survivors of FGM.
