Arthur Zang, Cameroonian – Cardiopad Founder
Arthur has transformed the way healthcare providers in the poorer regions of Cameroon relay important information about their patients to heart specialists in urban areas for further examinations and diagnosis. This young entrepreneur has invented a medical gadget known as the Cardiopad. The first of its kind in Africa, the tablet helps medical staff to examine a patient’s heart electronically and transmit results to different places at the touch of a button. As a result, patients in the most interior villages do not have to travel all the way to the hospital to have their hearts examined. Zang now owns a company called Himore Medical Equipment, which hopes to develop more medical devices such as ultrasound equipment to help the poor in Cameroon.
