Former NFL player Antonio Dennard was shot and killed outside a restaurant in Pennsylvania, FOX News reported. The deceased 32-year-old man had stints with NFL teams including the Green Bay Packers.
The Berks County Coroner’s Office, as reported by WFMZ, said that Dennard was pronounced dead at a hospital in the wee hours of Sunday. Authorities also ruled his cause of death as a homicide.
In 2012, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Dennard as an undrafted free agent from Langston University. He was, however, waived that same year. He later joined the Green Bay Packers practice team after a short spell at New York Giants.
Dennard’s killing is being investigated by the Muhlenberg Township Police Department.
