Meet Lakeisha Marion, a millionaire multi-level marketing guru (MLM) who has survived seven foreclosures to establish a portfolio of more than $4 million, making her one of the top-earning MLM gurus.
Marion got introduced into network marketing after she literally gave up on life and her Christian faith, according to Entrepreneur. This gave her a new feel and an extraordinary perspective on life. Not only did the job help her to overcome the void in her life, but it also gave her the opportunity to engage with young people and inspire them to join her network.
The entrepreneur was born to a teenage mother and was raised by both her mom and grandmother with immense love. At the age of 13, Coach Marion lost two of her aunts and a sister. She also survived a ghastly accident in her quest to find a purpose in life.
Fondly referred to as Coach Marion, the African-American entrepreneur is now a life coach and a real estate investor with a vision to inspire Blacks, particularly Black women, to make more wealth through real estate investing as she did as marketer years back.
Based in Miami, Florida, the real estate investor and life coach spends much of her time in her mentorship program, helping her followers avoid some of the mistakes she made as an entrepreneur. In an interview with Entrepreneur, Coach Marion notes that one of the most common mistakes real estate investors make is that, they are quick to buy a property in a growing area without carrying out research on the neighborhood.
Coach Marion also teaches her community financial literacy. Her target audience is mainly the youth in a bid to inculcate in them the spirit of wealth generation and financial freedom. One of her specialties is helping women improve their credit, increase their confidence and enable them to qualify for more capital.
She told Entrepreneur: “It is very important that you build strong relationships with various banks in your community a) establish your reputation as a good real estate investor and b) to increase your chances of acquiring new clients”.
“Knowing your locals are key,” said Marion as she urges others who are interested in entering this space to “connect with their local or city government to carry out extensive research for foreclosed properties or properties with tax liens”.
Aside from being a real estate investor and a life Coach, Marion is also a best-selling author. She authored the book “From Tragedy To Triumph: My Search – My Purpose,” which chronicles her struggles and how she managed to overcome them. The book aims to inspire others who want to be like her or have similar struggles like her.
