Cameroon

President Ahidjo of Cameroon in 1972 gifted Queen Elizabeth II of England a seven-year-old African forest elephant named Jumbo to mark her Silver wedding anniversary. The elephant was flown home to Britain and placed in the London Zoo. According to the Royal Collection, Jumbo was fed an in-flight meal of bananas, avocados and sugar.
