The Future of Black Hollywood: Here are the influential child stars of 2018

Bryshere Y. Gray

Also known as Yazz the Greatest or Yazz, the 24-year-old actor and rapper is best known for his work on the popular drama Empire and for portraying Michael Bivins in the 2017 miniseries The New Edition Story. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania switched his career path from playing football to entertainment after sustaining an injury at 16 years of age.  Gray has performed at Jay-Z’s Made in America festival, The Roots Picnic Festival, and has been featured as the opening act for rappers 2 Chainz and Fabolous. Gray has also been nominated for 3 Teen Choice Awards, Two NAACP Awards, and one BET Award.

The future looks mighty bright.
