Mosquitoes, cats and dogs can transmit COVID-19

There is no substantiated evidence indicating the novel coronavirus can be transmitted through mosquitoes, cats and dogs.

The virus is a respiratory virus that is spread primarily through droplets from an infected person when they cough or sneeze, or through the droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose.

There are other types of coronaviruses that can affect dogs and cats but no such evidence has been established that they can contract the new coronavirus or transmit it.
