Ghana’s independence celebration to be marked in NYC with West African street food pop-up

Ghana is 62 years old on March 6, 2019, and in the spirit of pan-Africanism, the W.A.R. West African Restaurant LLC is organising a pop-up event with West African street food favorites, signature cocktails, and Afrobeats in New York City.

The independence party starts from 5 pm to 9 pm at 198 Allen Street, Lower East Side Manhattan where assorted street foods from West Africa including delicacies from Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo, Liberia, Sierra Leone among others will be served.

Pop-in for some Kelewele, Suya, Kaklo, Akara/ Koose, Bofrot/ Puff-Puff, Kebab/ Chinchinga, Chin Chin, Maize, Moi Moi, Roasted Plantain, Roasted Fish and many more.
