The grandiose life of the pastor who ‘resurrected a dead man’ in South Africa [Photos]

South African pastor and self-styled healer, Alph Lukau, has been in the news over the past few days for his rather questionable spiritual motives.

On Sunday, the head pastor of Alleluia International Ministries in Sandton, Johannesburg, caused controversy after claiming to have resurrected a dead man at his church.

The “jaw-dropping miracle”, which was captured on video and has since gone viral, shows the pastor walking up to the supposed dead man lying in a coffin wearing a white suit and gloves with cotton stuffed in his nose outside the church’s auditorium.

At the bewilderment of the congregation which was looking on, the man rose from the coffin gasping for breath after the pastor touched his stomach while speaking in tongues.

The aftermath of the “resurrection”, which sparked further controversy and amusement shows the “dead” man walk into the church’s auditorium and eating the food he was offered in the front row while fidgeting.

Three funeral homes, who claim to have been duped into taking part in the act subsequently reported the church to the police on Monday. South Africa’s Commission for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL Commission) has also stated that it will investigate the incident.

Besides Pastor Lukau’s self-acclaimed healing prowess gifted to him from God, he is also known for his ostentatious and grandiose lifestyle.

Some of his grand-entrances to his church, where he is usually accompanied by a fleet of luxury vehicles, motorcades and in a particular occasion, men on horseback shows he has a taste for good things.
