Tyson Beckford is an American model and actor, as well as the first African-American male supermodel.

He was discovered by a talent scout in 1992 while hanging out in a city park and booked as the face of Ralph Lauren’s Polo men’s sportswear line. Since then, Tyson has continued to be a strong force in the modeling industry and a passionate advocate for the HIV/AIDS cause.
