This week, FIFA, the world’s football governing body, in an unprecedented move, took over management of the game on the continent as African football executives seem to be unable to deal with the many issues that have cropped up in recent times.
The decision, which came on the eve of the kickoff of the Africa Cup of Nations, was seen as a surprise by many.
