Pauline Cosmetics’ founder, Kenyan-born Nelly Tuikong, created the brand out of necessity. She has very dark skin and found difficulty getting her hands on makeup that complements her melanin’s hue, so she created her own.
Pauline Cosmetics is well known for its wide range of foundations that cater to women of color and its other products like lipsticks, powders and eyeshadows.
