Traditional ceremonies
There are approximately 73 tribes in Zambia and each of them have unique traditional ceremonies. Zambians belong to at least one or more tribes because of intermarriages. These traditional ceremonies celebrate harvests or re-enact parts of a tribe’s history. Some of these popular festivals are N’cwala, Kuomboka and Umutomboko among others. These ceremonies are held different times of the year and all Zambians are free to attend any of the ceremonies regardless of their tribe.
