Dr. Dre – $950 million
Despite only releasing an album this decade, Dr. Dre concluded on the world’s most talk-about music business achievement, selling his Beats by Dr. Dre headphone line to Apple for $3 billion.
He is also reported to own an estimated 20-25% of the company.
